I liked it when I read it, and it sure made me cry. But it didn't stay with me.

I love Kate Atkinson. Case Histories reminded me a lot of The Lovely Bones, but probably just because there were a few themes in common. If you haven't read any of her books, I can heartily recommend Behind the Scenes at the Museum, Case Histories, Not the End of the World and Human Croquet, in that order.

I actually requested that the library buy Case Histories because I wanted to read it. I haven't been able to take it home yet, though, because the darn patrons keep checking it out.

I 100% agree with you, I could barely stand to finish this book. The topic was interesting, but the book was...just not.
