It's been such a long time since I read that book. Hmmm, that would be a good one to revisit. It is wonderful.

Memories

The way Carson McCullers conveys emotion through her writing is quite unique. You really get the sense of what the characters are working out in their heads. Then the dramatic sense that death is so sudden, motionless, and craving for so many more answers. Southern drawl and all, you forget time and trance into that warm, slow, sunburn afternoon.
