Random House Summer 2007.

I love new catalogs.

I'm interested in reading:

Into the Woods, by Lyn Gardiner -- The description mentions a "decaying mansion", an "indolent mother", "sweet-filled orphanages" and kidnappers.  Worth a try at the very least.

Lawn Boy, by Gary Paulsen -- I admit it.  The cover art (which doesn't seem to be available online, sorry) sold me.  And, well, read the description.  I foresee hilarity.

Sammy Keyes and the Wild Things, by Wendelin Van Draanen -- Eeeeeeeeeeeee!  A new Sammy Keyes book.  I am SO there.  This one involves Sammy on a camping trip gone wrong.  I hope she's got Holly the Survivalist with her -- though it's tempting to hope for Sammy and Heather Acosta stranded in the wilderness together, too...

Pure Dead Frozen, by Debi Gliori -- I need to catch up on the Strega-Borgia books.  A new one is the perfect excuse.  It comes out in August, so no link yet.  (That I could find.)

The Rising Star of Rusty Nail, by Lesley M.M. Blume -- Set in the fifties, small town, quirky characters, I like the cover art...  and a FAB title.  So I'll give it a try.

Evolution, Me & Other Freaks of Nature, by Robin Brande -- It looks like they're going to push this one hard, which usually results in an appearance of my Ornery Streak, but I'm going to read this one -- I haven't come across much (can't think of any, actually) YA fiction that deals with intelligent design.

A Field Guide to High School, by Marissa Walsh -- I like the cover... which doesn't seem to be available online.

The Decoding of Lana Morris, by Laura & Tom McNeal -- I've read two of their books.  One I loved, the other... well, not so much.  But I loved Crushed so much that I'll definitely try this one.

Prom Dates from Hell, by Rosemary Clement-Moore -- Hmmm...  Looks kind of Devilish-ish.  But if it involves high school and the devil, I'll read it.

Not usually into the picture books, but this one has a Maine theme, so I'll keep an eye out for it.  I'm pretty sure I'll either love it or hate it.

Yikes.  I didn't even start going through the paperbacks.

I CAN"T WAIT FOR SAMMY KEYES! I'm absolutely obsessed with Casey Acosta, if he was real I'd marry him. :D Ooooo, Sammy and Casey lost in the woods! I actually really want Billy Pratt to be in this book he's pretty cool but not as cool as Casey. ;)

Oh, I love the title of the Maine-based picture book!
