Duncan Lawrie Dagger (Best Crime Novel of the Year):
Peter Temple, The Broken Shore
Duncan Lawrie International Dagger (Best Crime Novel Translated into English):
Fred Vargas, Wash this Blood Clean from my Hand, translated by Siân Reynolds
Ian Fleming Steel Dagger (Best James Bond-y Adventure/Thriller):
Gillian Flynn, Sharp Objects
New Blood Dagger (Best Book by a Previously Unpublished Author):
Gillian Flynn, Sharp Objects
Something about the Vargas cover art gives me the wicked creeps. I've been meaning to read the Flynn for quite a while now -- I'll have to bump it up a few spots.
More here.

I thought Sharp Objects was crap. Apparently I'm the only one. Not scary. Characters not consistent. Surprise ending, not so surprising.
On the other hand (in adult thrillers), I just read my first book by Peter Abrahams (his last book, Nerve Damage) and found it great fun.

I should try some of Peter Abrahams' adult stuff -- I read one of his teen novels and really liked it.

Thanks! Very helpful information. Here's a great tip from women who did it and worked too: Exercise, eat healthy, and take a long hot bath or shower. Also, write in your journal to relieve stress - These are one of the many effective ways to relieve PMS problems. If this does not work, visit my site to have great relief.
