My husband swears by it -- it's his favorite John Irving book. I haven't read it either -- I'm still unable to read him due to his making an ass of himself in an interview a few years back. I need a couple more years for the memory to fade, apparently. But I will get to it, eventually.

It's really, really good. And you will bawl. But maybe not like I cried at stupid f'ing Cider House Rules, which still makes me angry.
