I've seen links to this Gore Vidal Q&A all week, but I only just now got around to reading it. The only way he could've been more curmudgeonly would have been to start slinging around the word "whippersnapper". Yowza.

Tee hee. Some people can pull off irascible. At least he's not spouting off how all YA books but his own are crap. (Or maybe I should say, at least he's not looking at YA as something anyone can do so he might as well jump on the bandwagon and make some extra dough.)

Oh, yeah, he wins. Ever since reading it, I've been telling library patrons to look it up and read it because it was so hilarious.
