I continue to prefer Door #3, in which Bella grows a spine and ditches them both.
Shortly thereafter, Edward and Jacob finally come to terms with their true feelings for each other and head off into the sunset together holding hands. (Or they could skip the sunset and the hand-holding and just get a room.)

I'm with Door #4, in which Edward and Jacob both ditch Bella and go off with each other, no Door #3 action needed. Because Bella growing a spine is wishful thinking at best.

Door #3, all the way for me!

I'm with door #3 on this one, too.
But oh this is a hot topic! Nearly a full year ago, I did a book review on Eclipse on my blog, and I'm STILL getting comments on it!! People keep googling Meyer and finding my rants on how I like everything about the stories except that Meyer appears to be glorifying emotional abuse with the way Bella is being controlled by Edward without a hint of author disapproval.
I'll buy the fourth book, and I'm hoping for a miracle. But I'm betting Bella vampires-off with Ed and Jacob has to go rip up some other poor girl to mark his territory, but he'll have some kind of truce with vampires just to appease Bella.
Ugh. I like your version better.

Door #3 just looks better and better.
But still. Jacob. :)

Haha - agreed! I was just having a talk with my roommate about Bella's frustrating spinelessness. I definitely like the Jacob and Edward hook-up idea...Fire and Ice = steaaaamy. I don't read FanFic much, but I wonder if anyone has gotten started on the Edward and Jacob saga yet...

At the Texas Library Association, one of the vendors (a jobber) was handing out three Twilight buttons: Team Edward, Team Jacob, and Team Bella. Hooray for Door #3!

Jacob.

The Jacob/Edward hookup is attractive because they are the more interesting, powerful characters. Bella...well, it's hard to believe it would take more than a few weeks for either Jacob or Edward to become bored to death with her.

Door #3 also works for me because Jacob and Edward are both super-strong, so they wouldn't have to worry as much about hurting each other, AND it would act as a political alliance, forging a link between the Cullens and the werewolves.

Gosh, I misread the post at first, as Jacob and Edward skipping off into the sunset...a sweet image.
