While watching The Savages:

Me:  Poor Philip Seymour Hoffman.  He never wins.

Josh:  Yeah.  There should be a movie called Philip Seymour Hoffman Saves the Universe. 

Me:  What would happen in it?

Josh:  He'd walk down the street and everything good would happen to him.  Like he'd find twenty dollars in his pocket.  Ladies would be all over him.  Or, if he's gay, Captain Jack Harkness would be there waiting for him at the end of the street surrounded by a halo with a choir of angels singing.

Me:  Rad.

Have you seen State and Main? It's about a movie set that films in a small NE town and turns everybody upside down. Alec Baldwin is the lead who has a thing for local girls and must be saved from himself, I think Sara Jessica Parker is in it and a whole ton of other Indy type stars. It's a small movie but very very funny and Philip Seymour Hoffman is the voice of reason and he wins.

I love it.
