..."one of the most desirable vantage points from which to enjoy the full panoply of human idiocy"

That quote alone made my day. I can't wait to read it!

And yes, "beepeuse" does kick butt.

Thank you for sharing. I hope to read it someday. Love "beepeuse"...I am going to have to use it. I work in medicine and have to deal with many different types of people. I know how I get treated and I try not to share that with others especially those that work inside the people industry. I always treat the store clerk well no matter how stressed they are and that can have a positive influence. We need to remember that everyone's job can be hard and difficult and we should not assume how their job is. We need to try and treat everyone nice and with respect or at least politely. These things can have a good effect on the other person and if not...just stay polite or nice and go with it. Everyone has bad days. Ann sounds cool. I am glad for her and wish her all the best. (She paid her dues with 8 yrs and a lot of hard work. Her book and creativity were not an over night success but years of work.)
PS. I have had people who work in stores tell me how hard their jobs are...they can be painful, boring, and full of bad treatment. No one job is easy and kickback....

I would have ended it with...unless you are a writer...but I am not sure if anyone would have got the joke...a mob of hard working published and unpublished writers would have gone looking for me....I think I can see their torches from here. Being a writer is more difficult than people think. A lot of difficult hard work with litte pay. Another job people have misinformation about.
