I got a three out of ten too - though I actually knew two of them & felt very clever. :P I like "snoaching" - now I have a word for the opposite of mouthbreather.

BWA-HA! I got 5/10....but only by pure chance, I assure you. I only really *knew* one.

I knew the dandy one, and the one about winking. I knew "blephar" meant "eyelid" so that was easy; and I guessed right on "snoaching". I would have done better if I'd gone with my first instinct on a lot of the words, but I thought the "obvious" (not obvious! but the one that seemed like it should be right) choices were too obvious. :P

I read a novel this past week with the very amusing quote in it, "The British only do disdain and gardening well." So, when I found that this was another Guardian quiz, I kept that in mind...! (And will take my two points and slither off.)
