Hmmm. I do like the shrinking room. And the cast is way more interesting than Tim Burton's cast.
So, should I give Tin Man another chance or what? I watched the first installment, but the pacing was so weird and it seemed like it was trying too hard and sometimes Zooey just... doesn't doing it for me. And I found Claire from 90210 ridiculous rather than menacing. Those lame tattoos? Also... she's CLAIRE.

No NO!! Tin Man was awful! I was mad at the end that I wasted six hours watching it! I mean like yelling at the TV mad. And I love TV, the Wizard of OZ, Zooey and Richard Dreyfus so it's saying a lot that I hated it so.
This looks interesting and I LOVE Matt Frewer but I am skeptical.

I second.
I will probably give Alice a try...but yeah...Tin Man never went anywhere and the writing was...weak. I'm actually trying to remember specifics of the suckiness, but Tin Man falls into the category of 'it was so crap that my brain actively avoided remembering it'...I do have a vague memory of gaping plot holes, hastily patched-together exposition and unbelievable dialogue.
Maybe the director learned something and did a better job with Alice? I hope so.

For what it's worth, I really liked Tin Man... But I've never liked the original film (not sure I've ever watched it all the way through in one sitting) and i've never read any of the books.

It looks kind of stupid.
BUT! TIM CURRY!

My issues with Tin Man didn't lie in issues with the SFness of it -- it was more in the acting and dialogue and pacing and pretty much everything else other than the SFness. So I think this might be one of thosee rare cases, (monkey) steve, where you and I disagree. I hope that you and your new bride are gearing up for SF35, by the way.
Tulip & Str4y, thank you for making me feel like I'm not bonkers!
Rebekah, AND! HARRY DEAN STANTON!

Tin Man was pretty much awful, especially Zooey's wooden acting (though some of the actors did a decent job, like what's his face from Band of Brothers), but for some reason I couldn't convince myself to turn it off when TNT showed it last winter. Stupid thing sucked me in. I'd avoid it if I were you.
