I'm getting more interested all the time in the importance of covers for middle-school appeal (nice article on this topic recently in SLJ). I didn't read this book because another librarian I respect said it was disappointing. I both admire and personally love Sarah Byrnes and Whale Talk, but with Sledding Hill shared your thought "none of the narrators were speaking in their own voices -- they were speaking in Chris Crutcher's."
Ryan Potter commented on 'Angry Management -- Chris Crutcher'tag:typepad.com,2003:6a00d8345169e469e20120a62c7ff5970c2009-10-10T12:55:27Z2009-10-10T12:55:27ZRyan Potterhttp://www.exitstrategy17.comHmm. From a writer's perspective, I'm thinking that a trio of novellas about characters from previous books is an awesome idea...if it's executed correctly. I have no problem revisiting past characters, but their adventures need to be fresh and new, of course.

Thanks for the review. I didn't even know this book was out. In many ways, it seemed like a rehash of work he's already done, not something new.
Jackie Parker commented on 'Angry Management -- Chris Crutcher'tag:typepad.com,2003:6a00d8345169e469e20120a5d43ccd970b2009-10-09T22:12:12Z2009-10-09T22:12:12ZJackie Parkerhttp://interactivereader.blogspot.comWow.
