...to anyone who had to put up with my Twitter freakout last night, which consisted of many tweets along these lines:
I blame Courtney Summers for recommending the Scariest Movie EVER:
Just so you know how completely pathetic I am: I watched the trailer through my fingers.
Just so you know what a total jerkface my husband is: after the movie was over, he went outside and tiptoed around to different windows, tap-tap-tapping them until I hid in the middle of the house where there are no windows.
Just so you know how I really felt about the movie: I called my father to tell him that he HAD to go out and buy it, because it was utterly awesome and had great effects, good acting and a great storyline and because even though it made me so scared I thought I was going to barf, I adored it. (Then I stayed on the phone with him until Josh got tired of waiting for me to walk by another window and came back inside.)

You freak out when you watch "Blink" on DOCTOR WHO, don't you?

Yeah, that one scared the pants off me as well, but not to the shrieking point. Of at least not to the extent of the shrieking that occurred last night. Even my ears are still ringing.
Even though I love it, I don't deal at all well with suspense. You should have seen me watch Misery for the first time -- when James Caan wanders around the house in his wheelchair and knocks the penguin off the table? GAH!!

Hahahaha wish I'd seen the tapping torture.

Your husband is evil and hilarious.
I am so happy you adored it!! Your tweets last night were cracking me up so much and gave me flashbacks of the first time I watched Shutter (~no one forgets the first time they watched Shutter~ or at least, they SHOULDN'T). Now I want to watch it all over again. Best part about it: it holds up for multiple viewings (in my opinion, anyway)!!! What did you think of the scene in the hotel room when he looks under the bed?? It seemed so obvious what was coming next, but I was dreading it so much it scared the living daylights out of me. It still gets me every time.
Anyway, I shall gladly accept the blame for this. GLADLY!

Heh. My dad would do the tapping-on-the-window thing, too.

Okay, that is one freaky trailer, and I wish I hadn't been alone in the house when I watched it. At least I did so during the day...

Umm...I picked up a copy of Shutter...not quite the same one as in the trailer, methinks. This was the American version and it WASN'T SCARY at all, and now my husband is a wee bit peeved because I was telling him how scary it was....
I bought my copy from amazon.com...do I need to look for the version in the trailer some other way? Help!

Oh, NO! I watched the original one, which is from Thailand -- from everything I've heard, the American remake is TERRIBLE. I'm so sorry!

I wish I hadn't watched that trailer right before I had to close up the library alone in the dark. In a creepy old building that people insist is haunted.
