...that I'm so happy to be writing for Kirkus: Obama Aims for Bland and Hits the Mark.
Anyway, also up at Kirkus today is a round-up of some of my favorite reads this year. Not, it should be noted, a list of my favorite books published in 2010, but a list of the stand-outs I read. So it's a mix of older and newer and here and there and everywhere.

I must say, Kirkus reviews are my favorites because they usually tell it like it is.
And I have to say, while any book you love automatically makes it onto my TBR list, our lists for the year are different (especially re: StarCrossed, which I was not expecting) - not that that's a bad thing :)

I'm concerned that the only book on your list that I've read was the Grisham - which almost caused me to stop reading altogether - :) Looking forward to checking out the rest -

I didn't know you write for Kirkus! That just upped your awesome factor to the 42nd exponent. They have some of the best reviews out there. I can't wait to get my hands on some of these.

Oh, it's not as fancy as that -- I only write for their blog a couple of times a month!

Celine, the Grisham certainly was a standout this year. Just not for reasons that the author'd be happy about. (Though, since it's getting pushed like mad in bookstores, I'm sure he's not too concerned about one blogger's opinion.)
