Hallelujah! That is the most accurate statement I've heard about dealing, not only with Tintin in the Congo, but with all things that have racist, sexist, and any other -ist thing in them.

On another note--Indrani has been posting to your 10-year old recommendations list. She loves your blog and reads it daily. Thanks for such a valuable and well-written resource for her and for me!

Tintin is how my brother and I learned about racism. Seriously... we read the books all the time, but my dad was very careful to explain to us that some of the depictions were racist.
