Number of times I've stopped reading in order to shoo a live-mole-carrying cat out the back door: 1
Number of times said cat dropped live mole on living room floor and promptly lost interest, leaving me with a terrified-yet-uninjured rodent running around: 1
Length of time it took the Janedog to kill the mole once Josh moved the stack of books it was hiding behind: .5 seconds

Fortunately, no live creatures (aside from the dog needing pets) have interrupted my reading.

I still need to read the first young Sherlock Holmes. (Note to self: library.) I am intrigued by a Jekyll and Hyde/Swan Lake crossover. Very intrigued.

Hmm . . . wildlife in the house certainly breaks up the monotony. On the other hand, my dog appears to have committed to a 48-Hour Sleeping Challenge, which I think I prefer!
