Ah, Issue #5: In which Sam Lesser shows up at Keyhouse and all of the sympathy I'd developed for him drains away over the course of one page.
Also, Dodge is out of the well and wants the Anywhere Key, so she sends Bode out to find it, promising that she'll "turn Sam Lesser off" when he brings it to her. Which doesn't bode well for Old Sam.
Bode doesn't know where it is or what it looks like, though: I suspect it might be Kinsey's bracelet. Maybe?
Artwork?
ZOMG THERE'S A NOD TO KELLY LINK IN THIS ISSUE! IT MADE ME HAVE A NERD FREAKOUT!
Dodge coming out of the well is quite creepy, as are her cat eyes. But the shot of her letting the firefly go actually made her seem a tad sympathetic, what with her looking at the firefly's incarceration in the jar as a parallel to her own self in the wellhouse. BOO YAH. Look at me, picking up on symbolism and stuff.
Storyline?
Not a whole lot happened, as this issue was more of a line-things-up-for-the-big-finale installment, but the conversation between Bode and Dodge was great, as was the moment in which Duncan tried—and failed—to confront Mrs. Locke about her drinking.
Keep going?
Duh.
