So, Lemon was a freak today.
I stayed home sick after doing something to my back that made me realize that I AM NOW OLD.
Over the course of the day, she A) wandered around the house caterwauling for no apparent reason. Then... B) she decided to hang out on the fridge even though there is approximately a half an inch of free space up there. And finally, C) she knocked a plastic laundry basket right ONTO THE TOP OF THE WOODSTOVE.
BEAST.
SPRING CAN'T GET HERE FAST ENOUGH.

Apropos of nothing: I don't think I could possibly love your cake keeper MORE.
I have one that is just as loopy, but the base didn't make it on the trip to Scotland ("and why," she asks, "did you take it all the way there, you moron?" Because I love it).
Also, I am laughing at SPOCK on your fridge. Oh, it's good to know that yours is also as full of odd pictures.
Minus, sadly, a cat.

Sorry your back is wonky. To cheer you up: you've made at least one convert due to your week of Elizabeth Peters Love. I just finished Crocodile on the Sandbank and am looking forward to the next book...

@tanita: It used to belong to Josh's great aunt. I never met her, but I wish I had, as EVERY TIME she comes up in conversation, someone says, "Oh, Crazy Aunt Jane. I do miss her." Re: fridge decoration: I feel that it's a MUST! :D
@Prof. Mortis: Thanks! Now, whenever I update you on her murderous rampages, you'll be able to picture the scene more specifically.
@Julie: It's MUCH better now, thank you! And I am SO happy that you read some Elizabeth Peters! Now that I've posted about all of the Vicky Bliss and Jake Kirby books, an Amelia Peabody re-read will have to get scheduled sometime soon. :)
