Before I do anything else... This is more important than learning how to upload pictures. More important than linking to my friends. More important than bringing my paycheck over to the bank and cashing it so that I can eat breakfast. I need to spread the word.
Shadowmancer, by G. P. Taylor, is the WORST BOOK IN THE WORLD. I have provided a link to it—but only so you will know what to avoid. Do not buy it. Do not read it. Run away screaming. If someone tells you that it's the next HP, they obviously don't know what they're talking about and should never be trusted again. Ever.
Now that I have that out of the way, I can continue living my (very exciting) life.
You'll probably never see this comment as I'm posting it four months later, but I just found your blog through Gail Gauthier's Original Content and I have to say I agree with you here. "Shadowmancer" is truly the most awful book ever written. Awful. Awful. Did I mention it was awful?

I keep a pretty close eye on my comments!
Glad to know there are others out there that agree with me about Shadowmancer.

Have you ever tried to read Tersias?
God. I almost lost the will to live. It was really THAT BAD.

My friend gave me Shadowmancer for my birthday. That was 6 months ago. I still haven`t mustered up the courage to finish it. I dont really want to die of boredom.

I dissagree i thought that this book was very good. It talked about god and showed what his power can really do. The only part I disliked was the ending and that was because it was a continuation to the next book.

Look, if you want to make evaluative claims about the significance of a literary work you have to give some reasons and criteria for the value of what your says which goes beyond personal subjectivity like "its boring' or "its the worst book ever" Why is it boring? Why is it bad?

I could not read this book. I started it, and stopped after (I think) one or two chapters. I can't make any statements about the plot, because I didn't finish it. Why didn't I finish it?
The writing. Oh, God, the writing.
When a book's prose makes me nostalgic for the drek I wrote at age 11, it's time to set the book down and walk away.
