From NWAnews.com:
The National Coalition Against Censorship, based in New York City, is taking an interest in the recent debate over the content of some books in Fayetteville Public School libraries.
The coalition sent a letter, dated Tuesday, to Superintendent Bobby New asking him to resist the efforts of parent Laurie Taylor and supporters who have sought to remove books they find sexually explicit from the libraries.
As you can see, the list of books that Laurie Taylor has deemed to "have absolute vile and gratuitous sexual premises" has finally been released. (Previously, only 7 titles were available).
So what do you think? Did she actually read the books in their entirety or did she just do a keyword search on the library catalogs?
Classy. Especially putting Love in the Time of Cholera and 100 Years of Solitude on the List.
Keyword/and or ignorant word of mouth.
