As some people might remember, I've posted about this woman before. The full list of books she's challenged is at the end of this article. That list doesn't include the books that she's already had yanked.

Well, now she has followers:
Organizer Laurie Taylor said she had been advised to form an organization because the Fayetteville School Board will have a more difficult time "circumventing an organization."
The organization's first steps will be to volunteer to participate in a parent-led committee to audit the libraries; to file complaint forms about the books and the board's failure to follow its own policy; and to attend en masse a school board meeting Thursday.
A committee to audit the libraries... brrr. That totally gives me the heebie-jeebies. I want to know when she's going to start calling the librarians witches. You know that Buffy episode where Hansel and Gretel come to town and everybody goes bonkers and tries to burn Buffy & Co. at the stake? It might not be too far off. They could even use the books that have "absolute vile and gratuitous sexual premises" as kindling.
Thankfully, there are a couple of people left in Arkansas that still have some common sense. One editorial says Laurie Taylor is "entitled to be a one-woman morality police force for her children, but not for anybody else's." And the guy that wrote this editorial for the Arkansas News Bureau also seems to be on the ball. But who knows? Laurie Taylor's crew will probably take him seriously and try to ban books on the Holocaust, too.
On the plus side, her website is a one stop shop for dirty pictures and all the fun parts of those books.
