I'm not an Ellison fan, have always thought he was kind of an arrogant ass. I'm embarrassed for everyone involved though. How juvenile.


He is a stupid ass if he did it. Won't deter me from reading him, unlike Orson Scott Card, who turned me off with his "Lets kill gay people" screed. Sometimes I think that the more we know about others, the less we want to be close to them.


I've read a lot of his short stories -- some are fantastic, some not so much. He's so prolific that he's bound to be hit-or-miss.

Somehow I'm not surprised that he's a lech, though.

Yes, there is often something disheartening about getting too much knowledge about our literary heroes.
