I really, really liked the first book -- mostly because I adore Dexter -- but I felt that the ending was weak. If you like him as a character, the second book is worth reading for his observations alone. (It gets a little wackier, as Chrissy mentioned, but by the very end, we are reminded IN NO UNCERTAIN TERMS of what Dexter truly is. Awesome, but ick.)
I am SO excited about the show. Course, I'll have to wait for it until it's on Netflix, which stinks, but I'm excited nonetheless.
No fair! I can't access it because I'm not in the US. Booooooo Showtime!

Does anyone else think the first book ended rather abruptly? I liked the whole thing until that...will reading the second book help me get over it?
