I ask you:
What is the point of asking a supposedly non-rhetorical question if you have no intention of listening to the answer?

i really hate the type that goes something like this:
"would you mind doing [insert task, favor, etc here]?"
"uh.. [insert excuse of the i'm busy, i can't, i don't want to variety]"
"well do it anyway"
apparently ostensibly choice is just to make the person ordering you (for that's what they are realistically doing) feel better about his lack of morality. argh.
