From The Sun:
Producers say they could not keep everything in because the book about the boy wizard by JK Rowling is the longest at nearly 800 pages.
A Warner Brothers source said: “If we included everything the film would be seven hours long."
But the decision has driven fans potty because Quidditch — where Hogwarts pupils try to catch a winged ball — plays a central part in the book. It is the first time Ron Weasley, played by Rupert Grint, 18, takes part in it.
I sort of think a 7 hour HP film would actually be kind of rad.

I still think they should have done two-parters or something. Cutting stuff out gets problematic because the storylines are so entwined.
Whatever. I know I'll go and see it regardless.

I think they could have at least spared 5 minutes for a LITTLE quidditch. Sigh...

I would pay good money for a version of the movie with every thing in it

Yeah, I'd see a 7 hour HP movie, especially on DVD (where I could take breaks). Maybe they should make the movie for book 7 seven hours long. They could have an intermission or two.
