From The Cremation of Sam McGee:

There are strange things done
in the midnight sun
By the men who moil for gold;
The Arctic trails have their secret tales
That would make your blood run cold;
The Northern Lights
have seen queer sights,
But the queerest they ever did see
Was that night on the marge of Lake Lebarge
I cremated Sam McGee.

And in case you weren't aware, Kids Can Press recently released a 20th anniversary edition of The Cremation of Sam McGee with Ted Harrison's paintings*.  I've had it for about a week and I've paged through it at least once a day.  It's well worth a look, both for the fabulously vibrant artwork of Ted Harrison and as an introduction to Service (if you aren't already acquainted).  Love it.
