The Cybils YA longlist is up.
80 books. Whew. I'm kind of relieved that I'm on the judging panel rather than the nominations committee. Kind of. I'm also kind of jealous.

Yowza, I haven't read any of those. Runaway better win!....I'm just saying. :)

I have read five. Some are on my to-read list and some I've never even heard of.
THe thing about awards is that I always just end up cheering for the only one I've actually read.

I know what you mean about being glad and jealous for not being in the nominating committee. I've been requesting all of these books, and having them sent to OTHER PEOPLE. But if I was trying to actually read them all, I'd be very stressed out now. Still, it would make a great 2007 reading list, if only there weren't going to be other great titles also coming out in 2007 ... so many books, so little time.

Poor Jen. It must be hard being such a super-fab rockstar.

I've read 20 of the titles. Man, what a lot of books!!

24 here, but there are lots of others on the list I want to read. I must admit that there are quite a few "HUH?" titles, too, though. (Which is where the relief comes in...)

Yeah, I'm pretty much going to develop a book-a-day habit. Which still won't let me read all of them. I'm tallying them on my blog as I go, but tragically, I read far faster than I blog. If only work didn't get in the way, I'd be golden. I wonder what happens in withdrawal...

I felt exactly the same, on both counts. Relieved yet jealous.
