The one that would always get me at my old library is when people would ask where the biographies were and there was a HUGE sign that said BIOGRAPHIES, clearly visible from the information desk.

People don't read. Even in a library.

Oh boy...the other night we had a man hanging out two minutes after we had closed at 9 p.m. (he does this all the time, whether or not it's on purpose I don't know). As he (finally) left he gave me this really insincere, "I'm sorry," at which point a very sincere "No, you're not" popped out of me. Oof. Must control that better to keep my golden handcuffs city job.

I'm just waiting for something like that to happen to me. Though in all horrible honesty I saw a woman clearly looking for something today, and when I asked her if I could help her, she said she was looking for her teen son. I said I hadn't cataloged him... ghastly, I know. Don't know what got into me. She laughed.
