I will never understand marketing.
[Later. What is the point? Is it to stir up buzz, any buzz, even negative buzz, about the atrocious revamp? Is it to give them an out so they can cancel the revamp due to reader outrage? Thoughts?]

I love Betty and Veronica...at least the older ones and even the way they looked in the 80's. I don't read the comics much anymore (my wife occasionally gets me one for fun) but any revamp just seems silly to me.

Have you seen the artwork? Beastly.

I have no idea what their aim is with this marketing ploy, but on top of the totally unpleasant shock of discovering the new makover, I now have to deal with the totally unpleasant shock of discovering that Betty is a REALLY ANNOYING BLOGGER. All the bold face, capitals and xoxoxoxoxo's have effectively killed yet another piece of my childhood. Yay.

It is hideous! The biggest part of the charm of the Archie gang was the definitive 50's look. Dan DeCarlo's work being the very best in my opinion. Its akin to someone deciding to redo Peanuts and making all the kids look different. Stupidity rules.
