Earlier this week, I announced that I'd like to be Kirsten Miller's BFF.
Actually, now that I think about it, during the 48HBC I announced that I was Brandon Sanderson's BFF.
So I'm fickle. Whatever. Anyway...
Now I want to be Ysabeau Wilce's BFF:
Your title character, Flora Segunda, is spunky. Her best pal, Udo, is fashionable. What were you like at age fourteen?
Weird. Very weird! And full of angst. And pretty snippy--even more so than Flora! My family lived abroad and I was obsessed with poor maligned Richard III, so much so that I badged my poor parents into taking me on a driving tour of England, where we saw every inn, castle, and hedgerow that Richard III ever so much as looked at, and went to a memorial service on the anniversary of his death!
You can have more than one BFF. In this case, call one your BBFF (boy) and FBFF (female) and voila! ;-) Thanks for reading the interview.

You know that is the same quote I pulled for my links post!
I just like her so much - and now that I know she is a military historian it makes me want to read Flora all over again for those sorts of influences. (Except I've already passed it on to a most deserving step niece - my review is up at Eclectica next month.)
Ysabeau just seems like the same sort of geek that I am. I think if I got in the same room as her, Cecil and Justine Larbalestier my head might explode from geeky goodness or something.
I really hope this doesn't sound as pathetic as it looks........
