Steve Martin has written a children's book.
I love him*, though, so I'm hope hope hoping that it's good.
*Between us, Josh and I own something like fourteen copies of Cruel Shoes. No, I don't know why. We just can't seem to walk by a used copy without buying it. Speaking of, have you read Judd Apatow's story about meeting Steve Martin?
He's been writing books, plays and screenplays for years now, and he's a smart kind of guy, so I remain hopeful that it turns out well.

The excerpts he read on NPR this morning were pretty delightful -- and the illustrations sounded great. Plus, he can do no wrong, so I'm remaining optimistic.

It's okay. Hard to wrong with Roz Chast. Who knew that Steve could be so creative with poop jokes, though?
