Okay. So here's the lovely cover of John Green's An Abundance of Katherines:
And here's the cover of a pretend book from the show Numb3rs:
Yeesh. I hope the guy who created the original cover for the real book gets SOME sort of credit. So should I be watching this Numb3rs show or what? I do love David Krumholtz.

[Later: John Green's response: "I clearly picked the wrong author photo. I totally should have used the one in which I was daintily holding a complex polygon."]
Well I must say that I love that show. It has the conglomeration of Judd Hirsh, Rob Morrow AND David Krumholtz. All of whom I find lovely to look at. That's the kind of weird kid I was, I had a crush on Judd Hirsh from TAXI. :)

I usually really like the show. Professors almost never get on TV, and when they do, they are portrayed as total putzes! And Judd Hirsch's character is an urban planner! The math is really fun; sometimes the crime stuff is really dark, though--this season they had a really horrible serial killer episode that was hard to watch. But I am a fan--I totally admit it.

I have become totally hooked on Numb3rs, In addition to the crime of the week, there are cool brother dynamics between FBI bro and Math bro; and I am really torn between whether I want Don or Colby as my tv boyfriend. Anyway, I like how the show, the interaction, and the writing. But I suggest using netflix to start with season one.

But Chaser is right; with a few recent episodes, it's like they feel they have to rival Bones in "gross corpse of the week."

Yeah, the episode with the religious nut serial killer can be summed up in one word: "Ewwwwww..."
But I do like NUMB3RS. It was fun watching Charlie and Amita get together, and I love Larry the kooky physics professor. It really caught me off guard to see David Krumholtz in Serenity; I always find it odd to see actors I know from one role playing another.

He pops up everywhere -- he was in Freaks and Geeks, too, and Harold and Kumar.
I'll put the first season in my queue. We're going to need a new show this winter. Thanks, guys!

I really like the show, too. Geeky, fun, and mathmatic, what more do you want in a show? I will say, though, that I find the quality to be rather uneven from episode to episode. And it seems (to me anyway) like the so-so episodes are getting more frequent lately.

I saw one episode and it was very weak. I have a pretty strong math background and this episode was really silly. Are many of you saying that many other episodes are better?
