From the Guardian:
What made you want to write when you were starting out?
I was perfectly happy as a reader but one day, I was at home with my baby and I couldn't get to the library. I was bored, so I sat down and started to write a book.
According to the mini-bio at the end, she's written six "sour comedies" for adults. Anyone know anything about 'em?
I've read "The Killjoy" (her first book? I seem to remember that). It was messed up. I didn't really see a funny side to it; it was fabulous but I wouldn't read it again if you paid me.
I think Gabe might still have the copy, I bet he'd send it to you.

I've tried a couple of her adult books and didn't get on with them at all. I love her children's books, though.
