And Geraldine McCaughrean's The White Darkness takes the Printz!
If I had the ability to do backflips, I would! As it is, I have a spring in my step and a song in my heart*. I'm so very very happy about this choice.
All of the other winners and honor books here.
Also, David Lubar has offered up his comments section to all of the authors who DIDN'T win as a space to "complain, rant, moan, or vent". As he says, "When life gives you lemons, make sour grapes." (That might be my new favorite line.)
*What's that from? Is it from something? Or is it just a random cliche?
Thanks, Leila! It was your original post back in February that led me to read the book. If it weren't for your recommendation, it would have slipped right past us and never made its way to ACPL's Mock Printz winners.

I think it's a random cliche, though I like to say "sing about spring and step on my heart." Not sure why.

Awesome! This is the perfect excuse to 'reread' it on audio like I've been wanting to do!

I'm pretty sure there's a Raffi lyric about having a song in your heart.
