Here are my thoughts on these chapters.


The Athenians had a religious ceremony which accused the ax (or knife? can't remember which) of "murdering" the sacrificial cow and the weapon would be duly tried and executed.

Also, during the height of the witch trials animals used to be "executed" all the time for witchcraft (most memorably a cow that was hanged).

Sorry I've been bailing, but I'm generally away from the computer this week.


too much late night reading for me. I had to go back and look up how Castor got his name. I guess I was too busy looking at Sejanus.

What is wrong with the Senate? they are afraid, they are very afraid. What is wrong with OUR Senate? Why don't they take Bush out? Why are THEY so afraid?
