Damn, I didn't realize this wasn't out in North America yet. I picked up a copy in a bookstore in Kyoto, read it, passed it on to my daughter, then left it behind in the youth hostel when she had finished with it. I could have mailed it to my favourite YA blogger instead!

For the record, it is a fun book, with lots of Howl and Sophie in it (though they aren't the main characters). I think you will thoroughly enjoy it. :-)

Rie

It's fantastic. The main character is disgusted with the state of the house she's sitting, gives the work to her uncle's apprentice and sets off to become a royal librarian.

Also, there is court intrigue, Howl in a hysterically odious disguise, and a cute dog.

Whitney

Oh, squee!!

Vicki: Rats! Ah, well -- I'm sure there was a very happy person in the hostel.

I'm so looking forward to it.

This is the only reason that TadMack and I weren't totally devastated that our SBBT interview didn't pan out...a new Howl book to look forward to!

Katlin
