...because I did, and I figure I can't be the only one!
Robert Pattinson thinks Edward Cullen is a bit of a douche:
"When you read the book, it's like, 'Edward Cullen was so beautiful I creamed myself.' I mean, every line is like that. He's the most ridiculous person who's so amazing at everything. I think a lot of actors tried to play that aspect. I just couldn't do that. And the more I read the script, the more I hated this guy, so that's how I played him, as a manic-depressive who hates himself. Plus, he's a 108-year-old virgin so he's obviously got some issues there."
Yep. I'm still planning to see the movie. But it's mostly so I can watch to see if Rpatz managed to make faces at the camera while Bella was busy emoting.
Oh, fantastic quote. I missed it as well. I'll be watching as well!

Interesting! I hadn't seen it myself. It does add an extra dimension of interest to his portrayal doesn't it.

This makes me like Robert Pattinson still more.

That quote is exactly why I decided I wanted to see the movie and picked up the first book last week and read it. No lie.
Well, that and peer pressure.

My sentiments exactly.

Hahahaha...that's hilarous!! Although after reading that first chapter in Midnight Sun or whatever that book is/was going to be called, it seems as though he did get the character right. He does seem to be an angry and depressed person.
