You have a fascinating relationship with Shel Silverstein.

OMG! I love Shel Silverstein's adult stuff - he has another adult album I have been looking for for years. I grew up on Dr. Hook and the Medicine Show's raunchier stuff - most written by Shel - including Freakin' at the Freaker's Ball, Penicillin Penny, and Lady Godiva among others. While I love his kids stuff (except the giving tree - ugh) I am always amused at the juxtaposition with how I knew him, through really raunchy adult stuff, and how often people miss the edge in his children's poems. So anyways Quaaludes Again sort of made my morning, I actually squealed, then again I get excited easily.

"Queen of the Silver Dollar" was always my favorite, Johnny Cash obsession aside.

Too funny to read this, my daughter in 5th grade just came home and said, "did you know that Shel Silverstien wrote 'A Boy Named Sue'?" They are studying him right now, and obviously some adult stuff too...but something makes me thing probably not Quaaludes Again...although.....
