Ysabel won best novel, hooray hooray!
I've been meaning to read Elizabeth Hand for ages. Suggestions for a starting place?

I usually recommend starting with something old, but in this case, I'd go for Generation Loss first. Such a great read, and I bet you'll love it.

Generation Loss is great. My first was Saffron and Brimstone, though, another good choice.

Agree with "Generation Loss"; great, great book. I also love "Waking the Moon" VERY MUCH.
Also would like to shout out for Will Shetterly and Emma Bull, who didn't win this time but whose books are also well worth reading.

I'm so with you on the Ysabel love.
Generation Loss is very good but also very intense - and don't expect to love the protagonist.
Saffron and Brimstone was my first, loved some of the stories, was okay with others. (As is always the case with the collections).
I hope her novella gets a wider release now - I really want to read it.
