Because isn't this exactly like that Cathy's Book series? With the pocket of stuff and the website and phone numbers?
That, in addition to that the fact that I'm 91 pages into The Magicians, which is enjoyable but certainly not exciting or ground-breaking in a way that makes me want to hand out copies on the corner, has me thinking that the answer to my first question is a resounding YES.
Not that I'll stop following it, mind you.
So should I not be too downtrodden that someone checked out The Magicians right before I got to the library yesterday?

Weisman was one half of the Cathy's Book team, I believe. He and Sean Stewart are ARG partners. Sean Stewart's other books are AMAZING.

Jenn: Yeah, I wouldn't get weepy about having to wait a week -- I'm going to finish it and I am enjoying it, but it's not striking me as amazingly amazing.
Gwenda: Oh, that connection makes sense. Interesting. But NPR's not mentioning it makes the story even weirder in my mind (because what I thought was strange in the first place was that the story made it sound like packaging a book with a bunch o' stuff was something shiny and new).
