...I hadn't seen the actual lists until now.
So here they are, courtesy of the AV Club!
Most absurd:
1. 2012 (2009)
2. The Core (2003)
3. Armageddon (1998)
4. Volcano (1997)
5. Chain Reaction (1996) (This is actually the only one on the list I've seen, but oh my god, was it not, like, the lamest? I even saw it in the theater, and I still want my money back.)
6. The 6th Day (2000)
7. What The #$*! Do We Know? (2004)
Most realistic:
1. Gattaca (1997)
2. Contact(1997) (Josh despises this movie, and he still holds it against Matthew McConaughey. No matter how many times I remind him about how awesome MMcC is in Dazed and Confused.)
3. Metropolis (1927)
4. The Day The Earth Stood Still (1951)
5. Woman In The Moon (1929)
6. The Thing From Another World (1951)
7. Jurassic Park (1993) (Um, AWESOME. It keeps my Clone The Dodo hopes alive.)
The Core is awesome - it approaches geology and physics with a glorious disregard for fact. It revels in the absurdity. And it has Stanley Tucci in is. What more could you want in a movie? (Maybe some Velociraptors?).

Velociraptors make every movie better.
