...and, obviously, Josh and I went.
We brought home:
A few notes:
- As I browsed the shelves, I realized I was in BIG TROUBLE. So I've already had to set a ground rule: Paula has promised not to allow me to buy more than five books at a time. We'll see how that goes.
- They've got A LOT of fantastic books packed into a small space: Shelves of Soho Crime and Bitter Lemon and Felony & Mayhem and others. Ann and I kept walking around and petting them. Mystery geekfest!
- One of their non-mystery-reading friends dropped by while I was there, and I was challenged to sell her a book. So I asked her this and that and then launched into a description of Agatha Raisin and the Quiche of Death. Which she proceeded to walk out with, thankyouverymuch.
- I suspect I might be spending quite a bit of time there this summer.
Oh, this would be a dangerous place for me! Fortunately for my bank account, the local branch of the public library is nearer to me than my too favorite indie bookstores are.
Love the name, by the way.

Oh, what a great store! I am really into mysteries - trying NOT to be, because I have so, so, SO MUCH OTHER READING TO DO... but sometimes, when I want an "adult" book, a quick mystery puts me back into a good place.
But that Agatha Raisin is making me laugh.

It's going to be an especially dangerous store for me because we like a lot of the same stuff...
And, Tanita, The Quiche of Death is one of my favorite books to booktalk, because just saying the title makes me laugh.
