I only read the first Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants book. I understood the appeal of the series, but it just didn't grab me the way it grabbed so many other people.
So I didn't even know about the about-to-be-released fifth book in the series*.
Or that USA Today would PUBLISH SUCH A HUGE SPOILER, half a week before the book's publication date.
Yeesh.
Not a great track record over the last two days.

That's... an incredibly huge spoiler. That's one of the biggest spoilers I've ever seen.
Glad that, like you, I never read past the first book.

Oh dear I really really want to read the spoiler but the book is already on it's way to my house so I really shouldn't - dilema.
Posted by: Sally | 09 June 2011 at 02:40 PM
Oh No! Why did I read it? Why?
Posted by: Sally | 09 June 2011 at 02:41 PM
Gah. I'm so glad you said there was a spoiler! I almost clicked that link this morning. Do not want spoiler!

Sally: OH NO!
Denise: Good, I'm glad to've been able to warn you in time!

HA! I won't write what I hope, as it would be spoilage.

*headdesk*
HELLO, what kind of an interview was that!?
Well, the author knew what was going in - surely she wanted this for the drama revs some people are getting out of guessing who ...
Quelle annoying. I was assigned the first book in grad school, and had fun deconstructing it (sorry. It wasn't as bad as some, but meh) but otherwise - zero interest.

Didn't Dawson's Creek end like that, too?
Posted by: Annie | 09 June 2011 at 04:41 PM
SPOILER:
Yes. Yes it did.
Posted by: Leila | 09 June 2011 at 04:46 PM
WOW. What is *wrong* with people?
Posted by: Beth | 09 June 2011 at 04:59 PM
OMG that was a hugh freakin spoiler. Who does that. The worst spoiler ever.
The author should take as much of the blame for allowing that question to be asked and answered. Tanita as a point about the drama but its's still wrong.
I googled "who dies in sisterhood everlasting" just to see what would happen. the first review I opened I got the answer.
Posted by: Doret | 09 June 2011 at 05:27 PM
I wonder if it happens right at the beginning, then?
Posted by: Leila | 09 June 2011 at 06:06 PM
From the review it sounded like it happens midway in. But hell, I just read the PW review and they it said there as well, so maybe it wasn't a secret.
Posted by: Doret | 09 June 2011 at 08:44 PM
Oh my GOD.
Just, wow. Who thought putting that up was a good idea, seriously.
