There are tropes in fantasy that get... re-used?
Comic books... can... entertain adults?
Ditto children's books?
I get that Darin Strauss was totally upfront about his snobbery and that yes, all of this is a revelation to him, but articles like this do get a tad stale.

Aw, good job, rather than trying to relate to them, just buy them stuff! Done and done.
As much as I love to rag on Twilight and vehemently oppose it, at least I gave it a chance.
