Colorado does something similar. It's from the Library Research Service (which is part of the Colorado State Library). The no frills data is available at the bottom of this page: http://www.lrs.org/pub_stats.php, but they do reports every year as well. Here is the one from last year (on 2009 data): http://www.lrs.org/documents/fastfacts/289_Challenges_Public_Libraries_2009.pdf. All of their reports are available here (on all kinds of library topics): http://www.lrs.org/fastfacts.php. Sorry for all the links! I used to work there and am super proud of all that they do!
