It won for best YA romance? I would have never even put it in that category. Sure, there's a romance in it, but it's just a typical YA dystopian with romance added in. Oh, and then there's the little irritating bit that the pseudo-love triangle involves someone who used to arrange gang rapes against those he held captive....

GAH! I knew that some readers had issues with Enclave, I was just not aware of what the specific issues were...

I knew it was spoilery of me to mention that, but that's the first thing that came to mind when I thought about the romance in this. Thankfully, that's not the main love interest for the protagonist, but still... Overall, it was a decent dystopian that I read quickly, but the second half takes a turn for the worst.
