Big push?) made me think of The Darkest Minds by Alexandra Bracken. I looked back at my notes and all I'd said to myself was, "She sure cries a lot." a moment or two of fear, uncertainty, and self-doubt are fine, but by and large I'd like an action/adventure book to feature a main character who is willing to step up to the plate without excessive hand-wringing. Otherwise I'll read a different book - some variation on Hamlet where our main character flounders around wondering what to do, analyzing this and that and not necessarily doing much of anything. </p>
